We had a party of four for dinner tonight. We were seated fairly quickly. Our server was really on the ball. She got out drinks out very fast and returned with bread and took our order. I believe her name was Meredith and she worked hard to make sure we had a good dinner experience.

Enjoyed a nice lunch there today with my brother. Our server was Sandra and she treated us very well, I wish more servers were like her. I had the beef brisket plate with Mac & cheese and coleslaw. The beef was well smoked, had a nice flavor and just the right moisture. The breads were good, I liked the beer muffin. We also gas a slice of key lime pie. We left full.

We flew into Knoxville and were ready for some Southern cooking. Asked the rental car rep and she quickly recommended Calhouns! And wow, were we happy we went there. The Southern cooking is delicious from the homemade jalapeno pimento cheese spread to the fresh caught NC catfish, perfectly fried with cornmeal. Highly recommend, your taste buds and belly will thank you!

The waitress was spot on with service and timing with checking on us. My son didn't care for his drink, so she exchanged quickly. Burgers were very good.
